Detailed itinerary of 4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking Rwanda
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at Kigali International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will be picked up by our African Vacation Safaris and transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze Province.
From Kigali City to Volcanoes National Park, it is a journey of 3 hours and along the way you will scenic views of the rolling hills, you will understand why Rwanda is called the Land of a Thousand Hills.
When you arrive in Musanze, you will check-in at your lodge and spend the rest of the at rest as you wait for dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 2: First Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Wake up early for breakfast, your guide will pick you up and transfer to Kinigi Park Headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations to follow while in the jungle and presence of mountain gorillas. the briefing is conducted by a park warden, then be assigned a gorilla family to trek in groups of 8 people and transfer to the starting point for gorilla trekking, enter into the forest looking for mountain gorillas.
The trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorilla family assigned to you and their location. Gorillas are always on a move as they look for food, upon finding the gorillas you will have one hour of being in their presence. Watch gorillas play with each other, groom, pick fruits and take amazing pictures, mother taking care of their young ones and a dominant silverback protecting the family among others.
After this amazing experience, you will trek back to the starting point to collect your gorilla certificates, meet your driver guide and return to your lodge for an evening of rest, enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Second Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Just like the previous day, you will go for another gorilla trekking adventure. This time you will visit a different gorilla family. Later in the day you will go for a visit to the twin lakes or Musanze Caves or enjoy an evening of relaxation at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali for city tour and departure
After a delicious breakfast, you will transfer to Kigali City for a city tour on which you will visit some of the amazing sites in the cleanliest city in Africa. Some of the sites to visit include the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, the local hand crafts market among others. After lunch, you will proceed to the airport for your international flight back home or to your next destination.
