Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Bwindi Gorilla Habituation and Queen Elizabeth Safari
Day 1: Arrive and fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
To mark the start of your Uganda Primate and wildlife safari, you will be warmly welcomed by an African Vacation Safaris on arrival at Entebbe International Airport and connect for your domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On landing at Kisoro Airstrip, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and drive to your lodge.
Spend the rest of the day at rest preparing for the next day’s adventure or go for a guided walk in the forest. In the evening, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Habituation Experience
Wake up early for breakfast, be driven to the park headquarters for briefing by gorilla trekking dos and don’ts conducted by a senior ranger guide. In groups of 4 people, together with rangers and guides you will head into the forest searching for a semi-habituated gorilla troop.
Your ranger guides will guide you through the forest in your search to gorilla family under a habituation process, the trek takes approximately 2to 6 hours or more with 4 hours of being in their presence, watch scientists train these gentle apes, observe their traits and characteristics among others.
After a long day of being in presence of the gorillas and in the forest, you will return to the park headquarters to pick your gorilla habituation certificates and return to your lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Game Drive
After breakfast, bid farewell to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the most popular wildlife park in Uganda. Drive through the Ishasha Sector where you will get a chance to see the rare tree climbing lions lounging on tree branches. As you head to your lodge, you will spot several animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, among others. Check-in at your lodge, have lunch and have a short rest.
In the afternoon you will go for a game drive in the savannah plains of Kasenyi Plains. In the evening, you will return to your lodge dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Launch Cruise
Today you will enjoy a morning game drive and a launch cruise on Kazinga Channel.
Wake up early for breakfast, and head to the park an early morning game drive, a perfect time to watch early risers such as lions, leopards, and several bird species such as African finfoot, African hobby, African skimmers, Ayres’s hawk eagle, black-bee-eater, black – rumped bottom quail among others.
Enjoy at your lodge and in the afternoon go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, an impressive attraction in Queen Elizabeth National Park connecting Lake George to Lake Edward, and hosts the largest concentration of hippos in the world. As you sail on the calm waters, you will see several animals along the banks of the channel including herds of buffaloes and elephants in the waters, water birds such as herons, and hippos and crocodiles in the waters. At sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Flying back to Kampala
Today is the last day of your Uganda Primate and Wildlife, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast and go out for another game drive in the plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park spotting many animals and birds. After the experience you will enjoy lunch at your lodge, check out and drive to the airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport and connect for your international flight back home.
