Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Golden Monkey Habituation & Gorilla Trekking Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide. He will brief you about the safari and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stopover at the Equator Crossing for pictures and a chance to stand in both northern and southern hemispheres.
Have another stop in Mbarara for lunch and continue to Bwindi via the terraced rolling hills. Arrive in the park in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver guide and head to the park headquarters with your lunch boxes. Join other visitors for briefing about gorilla trekking and the right way to behave while in the presence of the gorillas, in groups of 8 people, head into the forest search for mountain gorillas led by ranger guides.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park takes approximately 2 to 5 hours or more depending on movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. Have one hour of being in the presence of the gorillas, watch them feed, groom and play round. Return to the park headquarters to pick your gorilla trekking certificates and embark on a journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Arrive in the evening, check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Habituation Experience
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters of Mgahinga for briefing about golden monkey habituation experience. In groups of 4 people, head into the forest together with scientists and researchers searching for golden monkeys.
Golden monkeys are endangered primate species only found in the Virunga Conservation Area spanning Uganda, Rwanda and DR.Congo. Golden monkey habituation experience brings you close to these beautiful creatures and also ensures you have ample time with them as they go about their daily activities in your presence.
After this amazing experience, we head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Boat Ride
In the morning, you will check out of the lodge and embark on a transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for a Uganda wildlife safari experience. Arrive in time for a hot lunch at lodge and rest for a while. Later, go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo to observe hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles and water birds such as African fish eagles, Kingfishers, African finfoot, Long crested eagles, starlings among others. After the thrilling boat trip, you will have an evening game drive. Wildlife sightings may include giraffes, buffaloes, elands, topis, impalas, bush bucks, oribis, warthogs, vervet monkeys and baboons among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Walking safari and transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will have a walking safari with an armed ranger in the park, or a game drive, providing a close-up view of wildlife such as impalas, topis, zebras among others. Afterwards, bid farewell to Lake Mburo National Park and drive back to Kampala with en-route lunch.
You will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination.
