Detailed Itinerary Of 8 Days Uganda Gorillas, Chimpanzee And Tree Climbing Lions Tour
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by an African Vacation Safaris representative, he will brief you about the safari and be transferred to your hotel in Kampala where you will spend the rest of the day at rest, enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Enjoy delicious breakfast, then head to Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for pictures on the Equator Crossing Landmark. Proceed to the park arriving in time for lunch at your lodge.

In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive exploring the savannah grasslands of the park and enjoy sightings of several animals including zebras, impalas, warthogs, waterbucks and various bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo, where you will enjoy views of birds and many animals along the shores of the lake including zebras, warthogs, giraffes among others.
Exit the park and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park passing through the Kisiro Hills with lunch along the way. Arrive in the park in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. A senior ranger guide will brief you about gorilla trekking dos and donts, then head into the forest with your armed ranger guides looking for mountain gorillas.
The trek searching for mountain gorillas take approximately 2-4 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spend their previous night. Once you locate these apes, you will have one hour of watching them, witness they different characteristics and behaviors, watch the silverback keep an eye on the family, female gorillas breast feeding their babies and take beautiful pictures.
Then trek back to the starting point to meet your driver-guide and collect your gorilla trekking permits, then return to your lodge for an evening or relaxation or to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on a journey to the most popular wildlife park in Uganda, Queen Elizabeth National Park with a drive through the Ishasha Sector renowned for the tree climbing lions which you will see resting on fig tree if you are lucky
When you arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will head to your lodge for lunch and short rest. In the afternoon, you will return to the park for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of the park till evening. Later, reeturn to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga Channel
Wake up early for a delicious breakfast, then head to the park for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, known for hosting large concentration of antelopes which attracts many predators. During the game drive, lookout for lions, leopards, wild dogs, bush pigs and warthogs among others.
In the afternoon, you will return to the park for an afternoon Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise. As you explore this water channel, keep an eye out for incredible sightings of elephants, buffaloes along the shores, hippos and crocodiles in the water and several water birds such as herons, crested cranes, egrets among others. Afterwards, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking, head into the forests of Kibale looking for chimpanzee. The trek through the rainforest of Kibale looking for chimpanzees takes 2 to 4 hours or more and during the trek, expect to see olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys and several forest bird species.

Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their watching them go on with their life in the forest, you are free to take as many photos as possible. After one hour, we trek back to the starting point to collect your certificates and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer back to Kampala and Departure
Have a leisurely breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch. Your driver guide will drop you off at the airport for your flight back home or to the next destination.
